Grocery List:

1. Tomato   2 medium washed and chopped into 4 pieces each

2. Green Peas ( Fresh or Frozen) washed  3/4 Cup

3. Paneer Cubes.  8 to 10 diced

4. Cilantro Leaves   a small bunch washed and chopped fine

5. Onion  1 small chopped fine

6. Garlic Pods peeled  5 to 6 chopped fine

7. Ginger  1/4 inch piece washed and finely chopped



From the Pantry:

1. Bay Leaves  1

2. MDH Garam Masala ( any garam masala is fine) 1/8 tspn.

3. Red Chilli pwdr.   1/8 tspn.

4. Amchur pwdr.     a pinch

5. Turmeric Powder  1/8 tspn.

6. Salt to Taste

7. Water   1/4 cup

8. Cooking Oil 1 and 1/2 tbspn.



Method:

1. Either chop fine garlic, onion, ginger
                  OR
grind to a fine paste in Food Mill or Food blender with minimal water. ( Keep the Paste aside)

2. Grind the Tomatoes to a Puree like for thick soup with minimal water ( Food Mill or Food blender)
                OR
         chop the Tomatoes very fine.

3. In a deep, heavy bottom pan, on low heat add cooking oil, MDH Garam Masala, Turmeric powder, chilli powder, Amchur powder, Bay Leaf and saute bit and turn off heat immediately.

4. To this sauted masala, add paste of Onion, Ginger, Garlic and saute on low heat till raw smell goes away.

4. To this add Tomato paste and Washed Peas and water. Add Salt. Let the whole thing simmer on low heat till Tomato paste leaves raw smell and blends well with Peas and Masala Paste. Let this cook for 3 mts. on low heat.

5. Turn off heat. In  a shallow heavy pan, fry the Paneer Cubes in remaining 1/2 tbspn. oil till all sides are browned.

6. Add the Paneer Cubes to the Peas and Tomato Gravy.

7. Garnish with Cilantro Leaves.







                         Note: Serve piping hot with Plain Basmati Rice, Rotis, Pooris or Naan.
