Cucumber Raita




                                 CUCUMBER RAITA 



                                                                                                          Cooking time: 5 mts.
                                                                                                           
                                                                                                          Serves: 4

Shopping List:

1. Plain Yogurt ( One)

2.  One medium Cucumber ( Kakdi, Vellarikkai) ( wash, peel and chop finely or grate)

3.  Cilantro ( Coriander leaves) = a bunch (wash and finely chop a few)


On Hand:

1. Salt to taste

2.  Red chili powder ( a pinch)

3. Roasted Jeera Powder ( a pinch)


Method:

In a bowl  pour 2 cups of yogurt from store-bought. Whisk the yogurt well. Add cucumber, salt, red chili powder and roasted jeera powder. Mix well. Sprinkle finely chopped Cilantro leaves on top.
  
      Serve cold, as accompaniment to Indian meals.
